SimplyTweet lite 2.5.1 Approved!
Since I had to pull back SimplyTweet lite a month ago due to a terrible crash bug, I have been resubmitting it and working to get it approved again.
It has finally been approved! In addition to the bug fixes, it also includes features ported over from SimplyTweet (app store link). Get SimplyTweet Lite 2.5.1 here.
Changes:
- Allow forced refresh in contact pickers
- When displaying photos from the result of photo search, the original tweet can now be displayed
- Add more user-friendly error message when opening a tweet from a protected account, which you are not following, from a twitter.com URL
- Add button to toggle scope search bar
- Change syntax of links appended from " - http://somethingsomething" to " http://somethingsomething", saving 2 characters
- Increase timeout (waiting time) for Twitter. So when Twitter is acting up and doesn't respond quickly, the request stops and shows an error rather than waiting for too long.
- Change nearby search bar to be hidden by default
- Change error message when sending long tweets with media and Posterous isn't the image/video service
- Add support for configuring buttons on swipe menu (including favoriting/unfavoriting)
- Add timestamp format d.M
- When choosing to block/unblock account, there is now an additional option to block and report the account as a spammer
- Add retweet as option for swipe menu
- Change how action sheets (the grayish tab that pops up where you have several buttons to choose from) appears in Twilight mode
- Add support for Pic.gd (which is shortened TweetPhoto) in picture viewer
- Add option to hide avatar in blocked list
- Indicate the number of contacts loaded so far during refreshing in contact pickers in tweet/DM drafting
- Add default recipient setting for in-app emails
- When shortening YouTube mobile links, convert to desktop viewable links first (YouTube bug? Mobile links aren't viewable on desktop)
- Change posting of links to not use "-" anymore, save 2 characters
- Change settings description to say will be slower if load unread Friends timeline is on
- Allow adding to Instapaper from within tweet/DM view (without having to open builtin browser)
- Add support for swipe menu in account view
- Show timetamps in account view
- Tweak for faster loading
- Slight change of backward/forward button icons
- Add reply all action in tweet view
- Reply all in swipe menu no longer includes @screennames in the tweet body (use Reply All in tweet view for that)
- UI touch ups
- Switch to using cursor-based pagination for /statuses/followers and /statuses/friends (paged-based pagination unsupported soon)
